Nevada Pops is committed to the well-rounded education of our community’s young people and is working in close partnership with the Clark County School District and the Smith Center for the Performing Arts to craft educational programs that will be both entertaining and enlightening.

September 26, 2009


Nevada Pops partnered with the Clark County School District to kick-off the district’s instrumental donation program, Make Music Matter, in a fun-filled family concert at the Henderson Pavillion.  The concert included everything from classic Sousa marches to Broadway favorites. 


In all, nearly a hundred instruments were donated and multiple-year sponsorships were secured, ensuring that the program will continue to play an important part in the community’s music education landscape for years to come.



February 28, 2009


Nevada Pops partners with the Clark County School District for its Feb. 28 concert to help get more instruments into the city’s classrooms.  Any person who brings an instrument to donate to CCSD the night of the concert will receive receive free admission!

August 21, 2008


Nevada Pops hosted a reading clinic for area middle school band directors to introduce them to newly-published works for concert band.  This clinic helped to give music educators the tools they needed to maximize the band experience for thousands of Clark County students.
